My daughter has been iceskating since she was 4 years old. I love every minute watching her skate and perform. She has two International Gold Metals from Theater on Ice, I think those are her most cherished possessions.

Now she skates on the Syncho Team at U of I in Champaign. Once November hits we start hitting the road to watch her in competition. Tomorrow we are heading off to Michigan.
This is her Christmas card, when I saw this image at Glitterbabe, "Ice Dancing" I immediately thought of my daughter when she was little and knew I had to have it.

I colored the image with Copics, added liquid applique for the fur and Stickles for the snow and fur trim. Swiss Dot embossing folder, and my edging is from Memory Box, Frostyville Border.
Ribbon and skates are from my stash.

I love Vintage, and Vintage Christmas is even better. When I think of Vintage I think of deep, muted greens, cranberry, pearls and doves. (Not to mention Tim Holtz).

This beautiful digi is by Stef at Gliterbabes, (Badge to the right). It was a Freebie since she made 200 followers at CDAC. Congrats Stef!!!!! It is called Fun Dove. I created this tag with the New Seasonal Inks by Tim Holtz. I then took his tissue paper, sprayed it with Peppermint Stick and Mel's Diner Glimmer mist. Once dried I crumble the paper to make it look more vintage. The dove was done with Tim Holtz Distress Stickles Rock Candy, once dried I added Diamond stickles, with a touch of Black Soot distressing.

My ribbon is seam binding that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, same colors to match my paper, then I crumbled it up in a ball, once dried I now have my wrinkle ribbon. stamps are "Vintage Christmas". Pearls are from stash, and so is the fine fern that I added over my Olive Branch. I love it!!!!!

Happy October. As we all know October is breast Cancer awareness month. Im always touched when I see the support and love that comes with this month and the symbol of a pink ribbon. We really need to keep the awareness and support going all year long.

As a nurse I see first hand the devastation this illness causes. We need to be aware of all the colors of ribbon out there for all the types of CANCER. We need to solve this puzzle before it touches our children, grandchildren etc.

Thanks to Stef at Glitterbabe for this freebie digi. There is an awesome Link for Pink challenge that is being sponsored by Touched by a Butterfly, see the Link for Pink badge and join the support.

My aunt was diagnosed with Br CA about 10 months ago. I made this bookmark for her to celebrate her victory.

I love it when I can do two things at one time!!!! Plus use up old stash! When I saw this digi by Deedee I knew I would use it on a layout for my youngest twin. Growing up he loved clowns, and at the age of 17 he still thinks they are pretty cool. Both of my twins had stuffed clowns when they were babies. My youngest twin called his "Clownie" and took it everywhere, when his Clownie was no longer functional he took his brothers which was almost new.

This is the only photo I have where all 4 of my children are genuinely smiling. I thought this digi set was perfect for this photo layout. Now to find something for my other three so maybe I could get 4 old photos put away....

The groundhog may not have seen his shadow, but it would be VERY difficult to tell anyone in Chicago that we will have an early spring. We just had our 3rd worse snowstorm ever, I live in the NW suburbs so I only got 17 inches of snow and only had 4 ft drifts, other areas received 20 inches plus. Now we are having dangerous temperatures below zero, with windchills in the negative teens or twenties.
The positive side is that it is beautiful outside, we all had a family day off, once my sons dug us out they had a blast outside, my husband was riding his snowmobile everywhere since all streets were closed until mid afternoon. I stayed in and scrapbooked all day. But I'm so ready for spring!

This image is perfect for today, For the Birds Snowman is by faith at Designed2Delight, (Badge on right) Colored with my Copics, I used liquid applique for my fur and aded lots of stickles.
