Im taking an online class at Inspiration Station, it is AMAZING!! I wish I had time(and money) to play with all the new techniques we are learning. This card is made by using traditional resist on glossy paper, and Tim Holtz Peeled Paint distress ink. I then colored my cardstock to match the heart. DP and ribbon from stash.
aside from learning new techniques this class teaches you how to use your basic supplies that are hidden away and forgotten about.
This is a layout that I created for my daughter. she was eleven at the time and took a self portrait. She's away at college and I really miss her, so to fill my time I work on her old photos and remember how blessed I am to have her in my life.

My journaling is hidden beneath photo, it actually opens like a book. I have a quote on the "Precious daughter"and then I wrote her my personal thoughts on how lucky I am to have her.

I wanted to do something special with the dig by Faith at D2D, (Badge to blog on right). Its Happiness Blooms and it is part of her progressive challenge. I love black and white and on cards I think it gives them an eloquent look. everything was from my stash, DP is by 7 Gypsies and square bling was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I must admit that summer is my favorite season, but I do appreciate the cooler weather of fall and I love the beautiful colors.
This beautiful digi is by Faith at D2D, blog to the right. Its part of her progressive challenge. I thought I would pay with this card and I made my own ribbon to match my sunflowers and my paper. I used silk seam binding and my glimmer mist, then crinckled the ribbon until it dried. I love the effect. I have seen may crafters use this but I was afraid to try, its easy and I love the result, image colored with Copics, leaves were cut with my circuit, all else from stash.

When I saw the Basic Grey Life of the Party Line I fell in Love. I bought almost everything from paper, paper ribbon, and most of the embellishments. This is a wonderful line which can be used for almost any celebration.

I created this layout to celebrate my twins 17th Birthday. All paper, paper ribbon and embellishments are from BG, Life of the Party. I used my Cricut, Don Juan for the numbers and my EK party punch for the presents. The flags on the banner are from my Hero Arts stamp.
Now off to finish the other twins layout!

Created for the BG Challenge: Celebrations

I always send my daughter a card to wish her well at school and remind her how much I love her and miss her. She is in her 4th year at U of I studying Actuarial Sciences. I always tease her and call her a math geek, so when I saw this image I knew his would be her card.

I love this image! Its a freebie from Jodi at Bugaboo!!! Thank you! Its part of her Calendar Girls series, all the images are must haves. Im having trouble choosing the ones to purchase.

Colored with Copics, my paper is from my stash. I hand made the number embellishments and pop dotted them up. The flower is from Maya Road.
