How depressing.... winter is really only 6 months away? Living in Chicago winter seems like an eternity....

Good news I went on a shopping spree at Bugaboo stamps and got 4 Xmas cards made, I'm never ahead of the season.... I'm so excited.

Digi is their Sun Bonnet Candy Cane, I love the ice skating image also. Colored with Copics, everything else is from stash. Image and flowers sprayed with glimmer mist for added shine.

Just came back from a brief shopping spree at Michaels Arts and Crafts.... They have a great sale but I had my 17 yr old son with me so that really took the enjoyment of shopping away. I need to go back there this week........

Finally got a chance to play with my new images from Deedee's Digis. This one is Little Miracles. I also purchased some new bling that I love because its different and it shimmers
and shines. The bling is Mosaic Tiles, this one is Opal Shimmer, naturally I had to buy more then one so I also bought red, green, black..... you can never have enough bling.......

For added shimmer I used heavy stickles on the wings, and my ribbon has a glitter thread running thru, hard to see on the photo

TWO CARDS IN ONE AFTERNOON

I have been off of work for the past week so I created these thank you cards for my awesome employees who picked up the extra work so I could enjoy so time off.

Summer is my favorite season. Living in Chicago you never know when the nice summer days will end. Usually we have a few good weeks, then the high humidy, heat index and ozone warnings strike. This week has been perfect, So on a perfect holiday weekend we Chicago folks head down to beautiful Lake Michigan.

I spent my Friday at Navy Pier, Millenium Park and of course, The Taste of Chicago, I am so sunburn but it was well worth it. It was a special family day with my daughter and mother.

For a day at Lake Michigan the only appropriate foot wear is FLIP FLOPS! I love the sand on my feet.

The sand on the card is from Magic Scraps, it has a glitter effect to it. The sand DP is also from Magic Scraps, it has a sandy texture. Ribbon is from Offray, Bling, other cardstock is from my stash. Colored with Cpoics.

We have so many birthday's in the summer and early fall, I love getting a jump on some special cards for family and friends. This is another birthday card.
